To my friends, family, colleagues, clients, and community,

I want to wish you and your loved ones a safe, joyful, and Happy Fourth of July!

As we celebrate Independence Day, we also commemorate the 250th birthday of our great nation. It is a time to reflect on the freedoms and opportunities we enjoy and to honor the brave men and women who have defended those liberties throughout our history. I am deeply grateful to our military members, veterans, first responders, and all those who continue to serve our country and communities with dedication and sacrifice. As a veteran, it holds a special place in my heart.

This holiday holds special meaning for me and my family. In the late 1980s, my family immigrated from Guatemala to Los Angeles with a dream of building a better future in the United States. Through hard work and perseverance, they were able to achieve the American Dream and create opportunities for me. Because of their sacrifices and the opportunities available in this country, I have been fortunate to pursue my own goals and build a career doing what I love.

While America is not perfect, it remains a place where people from all backgrounds can pursue opportunity, create a better life for their families, and contribute to their communities. Thank God for our Constitution that gives us our freedoms. For that, I will always be grateful.

As we gather with family and friends this 250th Independence Day, let us take a moment to appreciate the freedoms we enjoy, honor those who protect them, and celebrate the enduring spirit of our nation.
