Mortgage Rates Continue to Drop

Mortgage rates continued falling for a 5th week in a row, increasing the number of pre-approval applications. Mortgage applications rose 3% this past week with average rates falling from 7.91% to 7.37% in the past month.

The real estate community is anticipating the rates to continue falling in the next few months, as inflation levels continue to steadily drop nationwide. Some lenders are offering rates in the 6%’s! Please reach out if you’re interested in purchasing a home in the new year!

FHA Loan Limit Increases!

The Federal Housing Administration announced that the national conforming loan limit for 2024 for a one-unit property is $766,550. Take a look at the chart provided by the FHA for more details on loan limits for 2-4 unit properties. Reminder that FHA loans typically require a 3.5% down payment and offer a competitive interest rate.
